    Laura Fuller has been responsible for the communications activities for the UNEP/GEF en.lighten initiative, since 2011. In her capacity as a Communications Officer, she is in charge of the development of integrated communications campaigns for the initiative. Prior to joining UNEP, Ms. Fuller was the head of marketing communications and information for Osram Sylvania in Toronto, Canada.  There, she developed strategic communications plans and activities to disseminate information about the technological shift towards more energy efficient lighting products..

    Since 2010, Mañez has been responsible for the United Nations Environment Programme/Global Environment Facility (UNEP/GEF) en.lighten initiative, a public/private partnership, working in close contact with governments and private sector partners to promote the global transition to energy-efficient lighting, primarily with the phase-out of incandescent lamps, by 2016. He has experience in policy related aspects of a wide range of environmental subjects including: climate change issues, chemicals and waste management and governance. Previously, Mañez was the climate change focal point for UNEP in Europe (Geneva) and worked at the UN Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).

    Michael Scholand is a Consultant for UNEP en.lighten, working as a Technical Expert on market research to assist with forecasts of energy savings, electrical demand and carbon emission reductions in developing and emerging countries. He has over fifteen years of experience working on energy efficiency programs and policies, including the regulatory programs in North America and Europe. He is Lighting Certified by the North American National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions, and is also a member of Tau Beta Pi, the North American Engineering Honours Society.

    Barry Bredenkamp is currently a Senior Manager at SANEDI, responsible for the Energy Efficiency and Communications portfolios. He previously worked in the distribution, customer service, marketing and Demand Side Management (DSM) areas of the national electricity utility in South Africa (Eskom), for over  27 years. He was seconded from the utility to establish and head-up the new National Energy Efficiency Agency in South Africa in 2006. Mr. Bredenkamp was instrumental in implementing the highly successful GEF/ ELI program in South Africa.

    Raquel Huliganga was a key member of the Department of Energy for over 30 years. In her position, she assisted in the implementation of laws, policies and regulations in support of energy efficiency programs.  She lead the Philippine Energy Efficiency Project component of lamp waste management and the expansion of the scope of the appliance standards and labeling program. She was also responsible for the Philippine Efficient Lighting Market Transformation Project as well as a demonstration project in 2012 for solar LED lighting. She participated as the DOE representative for a number of projects, including the en.lighten initiative.

    Mr. Juan Carlos Enrique currently serves as the Director General of Ambilamp, based in Madrid, Spain. In this role, he is responsible for the creation of a reverse logistical network for lamp waste collection that allows Spanish lighting producers to achieve both their collection and recycling targets, as dictated by Spanish/European law. Previous to this, he worked for Philips Lighting where he held positions such as Marketing Director and Institutional Relations Manager. He has experience working in the nuclear power plant industry and holds various engineering and business degrees.

    Dr. Ashok Sarkar works in South Asia Energy Unit at the World Bank leading energy efficiency operations in India, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia. He focuses on strategic efforts for scaling up energy efficiency operations and finance. He helped develop the energy efficiency component of the global tracking framework under the UN’s SE4All initiative. Since 2006, Ashok has led large scale residential efficient lighting deployment programs and co-authored the recent CFL Toolkit. Prior to the World Bank, he managed sustainable energy projects at the ADB, USAID-India and an international consulting firm. An engineer, he has an MS in Energy Planning & Policy and a PhD.     Aiming Zhou is a Senior Energy Specialist in the Sustainable Infrastructure Division of Regional and Sustainable Development Department at Asian Development Bank. He oversees ADB's Clean Energy Program in an effort to mitigate climate change via promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy, accelerating the adoption of low-carbon technologies and scaling-up the clean energy investments in Asia and the Pacific.     Since 2002, Dr Bennich has been working with energy policies within the Swedish government, focusing on energy efficiency. In his present position at the Swedish Energy agency, he is working with the EU directives on ecodesign (minimum energy performance standards) and energy labelling, with a focus on lighting regulations. Since October 2011, he is the chair of the annex Solid State Lighting, part of the IEA implementing agreement on Efficient Electrical End-Use Equipment (4E). He holds a PhD in surface science (physics).

His key role has been the project management of the policy to phase-out inefficient incandescent lighting in Australia which has included oversight of the development of MEPS for incandescent and CFL lamps and liaison with industry stakeholders and the public. Prior to joining CLASP, Mr. Ton served as Team Leader, Energy Efficient Lighting, for the Environmental Cooperation-Asia Clean Development and Climate Program (ECO-Asia), a USAID funded regional project based in Bangkok, Thailand.
